The Academy in Industry initiative is an innovative collaboration program between the government, industry, and academia to address the challenges faced in talent development. The Academy in Industry program is a work-and-learn program under the supervision of the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), fostering an innovative partnership between the government, industry, and academia to tackle the challenges of developing local talent.

To develop a sustainable future workforce based on market demand and industry needs;
To close the gap between the supply and demand of the workforce;
To nurture local talent that receives wages aligned with their skills;
To reduce dependency on foreign workers; and
To enhance the nation's educational achievements.
Career Pathways in the Academy in Industry:
Salary benchmarks for Academy in Industry talent are based on the competency, skill level, and experience of the candidates.
Academy in Industry apprentices will receive a full minimum wage and other allowances provided by the company.
Apprentices must participate in the program for 6 to 18 months to qualify for the AiI graduate certificate, equivalent to the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3.
The AiI program modules include both general modules and specific modules tailored to the operations of the participating companies.
Participation RequirementsThe following are the key requirements for individuals interested in enrolling in the Academy in Industry program:
Malaysian citizen;
Aged 18 to 40 years;
Have basic literacy, writing, and numeracy skills (3Rs);
Pass the AiI screening test.
