The University Institute of International and European Studies (UNIES) was established in Kerkrade, Netherlands. Today, UNIES serves as the business school of Varsovia University (formerly known as Collegium Humanum – Warsaw Management University or CHWMU) in Poland. UNIES is recognised by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), and its Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Criminology and Policing (3+0) is accredited by MQA for delivery through its strategic partner in Malaysia.
KLIEC has developed two doctoral programmes to suit the Southeast Asian PGEC student market. In Malaysia, UNIES programmes are duly recognised by the authorities, as the host university (CHWMU) is officially registered with the government of its home country - the Polish Government.
In Indonesia, the Doctor of Business Administration degree awarded by CHWMU is recognised by the Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI), and all its graduates are eligible to receive an endorsement letter from DIKTI.
