The Professional Diploma in Education Design (PDED) is perhaps one of the most important of KLIEC’s Professional Programme Division. The PDED was made compulsory for all Academic Directors of KLIEC’s Accredited Training Providers commencing January 2022.
PDED has enrolled more than 60 participants in 2022. The programme requires six months to complete and all its classes are conducted face to face at the Residency Building of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.
PDED’s objective is for students to master the design process of an accredited programme, for them to be able to understand the technicality involved in registering with the London Examinations Board United Kingdom (LEB) and ultimately being capable of implementing the programme in its respective target markets. Students are also exposed to the marketing aspects of a programme; from what sells a programme, strategic market positioning to business modelling and pricing strategy, to name a few.
In 2023, KLIEC plans to introduce PDED’s sister programme christened the Professional Certificate in Education Design (PCED). It will be a Level 3 Certification programme that aims to expand the International Education and Microcredential Exchange (IEMX) system in Malaysia, Indonesia and other strategic countries.
