KLIEC and LEB Malaysia Partner with Universiti Utara Malaysia to Develop Enhanced Postgraduate Programmes
Since 2022, the Kuala Lumpur International Education Consortium (KLIEC) and London Examinations Board (LEB) Malaysia have been working closely with Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) to develop enhanced postgraduate programmes, an initiative born in response to the evolving needs of higher education during and after the global pandemic. This collaboration aims to offer postgraduate students a unique blend of academic excellence, international exposure, and leadership development.
A key feature of the enhanced programmes is the opportunity for students to participate in the Professional Certificate in Innovation and Strategy (PCIS) Seminar held in London. This experience provides postgraduate learners with direct exposure to global perspectives in strategy and innovation while also connecting them with international networks. In addition, students gain access to other value-added services that support their participation, ensuring a seamless and enriching learning journey.
Beyond academics, UUM has also become an important training ground for LEB Malaysia’s student leaders. Through outdoor activities such as abseiling, jungle trekking, and kayaking, participants cultivate resilience, teamwork, and leadership skills that complement their classroom learning. This holistic approach reflects the essence of UUM’s motto, “Ilmu, Budi, Bakti” (Knowledge, Virtue, Service), by nurturing graduates who are not only intellectually capable but also well-rounded in character and community spirit.
The partnership between KLIEC, LEB Malaysia, and UUM demonstrates how strategic collaboration can redefine postgraduate education in Malaysia. By combining rigorous academic content with international experiences and leadership training, the programme prepares students to thrive in a rapidly changing world while staying grounded in values of service and excellence.
