Kolej SPACE Wataniah Open Day
Askar Wataniah is the reserve force of the Malaysian Armed Forces mustered by citizens on a voluntary basis; whom under the command of the Armed Forces can be deployed for active duty during wartime. Askar Wataniah personnel participate in drills with other branches of the Armed Forces, but especially the Army as they are trained in accordance to the Comprehensive Defense (HANRUH) as dictated in the national defense policy.
Among other things, HANRUH stipulates that the national aid shall include the mobilization of all national resources, in addition to the involvement of the Malaysian Armed Forces. In the spirit of true patriotism, KLIEC has organised the recruitment of new cadets amongst the Kolej SPACE students. This effort took place under the collaboration with the 515th Regiment of Askar Wataniah.
Askar Wataniah caters their training drills to be flexible and convenient to accommodate the students’ schedule to ensure that the training sessions inspire, rather than discourage. The cadets will receive physical, strategic and tactical training. Cadets will also receive training allowances and are provided with uniform and other military standard issue upon enlisting.
KLIEC believes that the students who enlist are held in high esteem for their demonstration of patriotism and devotion as defenders of our beloved nation.
