UTMSPACE SSB Partners with MPC to Develop Professional Diploma Track under ADI Initiative


The Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), through its Akademi Dalam Industri (ADI) initiative, has taken a bold step to strengthen the nation’s talent development ecosystem by engaging UTMSPACE Services Sdn Bhd (UTMSPACE SSB) to design and deliver a Professional Diploma track. This pathway is envisioned as an alternative to the Malaysia Skills Certificate (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia – SKM).

As Malaysian higher learning institutions and colleges are prohibited from issuing their own Professional Diplomas, UTMSPACE SSB leverages its international collaboration with the London Examinations Board (LEB). Through this partnership, the Professional Diploma programmes developed under ADI will be validated and certified by LEB, ensuring that the qualifications carry both global recognition and local industry relevance.

The initiative reflects MPC’s commitment to aligning workforce skills with industry demands while offering learners an alternative route to professional advancement. For working adults, school leavers, and industry trainees, the Professional Diploma provides a competency-based qualification that is not only career-focused but also bridges the gap between academic theory and real-world practice.

This collaboration also underscores UTMSPACE SSB’s role as a trusted education partner in expanding opportunities beyond mainstream academic routes, while ensuring that Malaysian talent development efforts remain competitive and globally benchmarked.
