The Level 2 Professional Certificate in Pastry Arts (PCPA) is a unique programme that targets the B40 demographic with a specific objective of facilitating and equipping them with the skills needed to start their pastry business online.

The programme that received RM2.1 million of funding from Human Resources Development Corporation (HRDCorp) under the Penjana Scheme was conducted by NSN Gemilang Enterprise, an Accredited Training Provider of KLIEC. All 300 participants attended the first session from 6th to 8th of October 2020 in Mentakab, Pahang and again for the second session on 16th to 18th of October 2020 in Jerantut, Pahang.

Participants were introduced to design techniques of premium cakes that are typically made for weddings, which consist of coloured fondant decorated with layered icing. It was a stimulating programme where participants were able to explore the many methods of icing decoration.

The programme was headed by Chef Roizziddin Razalli, Founder of Pastries Trainers Malaysia (PTM) who was assisted by many other prominent chefs from PTM for the productive sessions. The programme in Mentakab was officiated by Datuk Seri Mohd Sharkar Shamsudin, Pahang State Executive Councilor of Culture, Environment, Plantation and Commodity.
