Building on the success of the LYLA in 2022 and 2023, a new programme has emerged to further cultivate leadership and foster collaboration among student leaders across Asia. Enter the Asian Youth Leadership Award (AYLA), a groundbreaking initiative hosted by Universitas Indonesia that aims to provide a dynamic platform for student leaders to forge meaningful connections and exchange ideas.
Designed as a networking initiative, AYLA brings together student leaders from Kolej SPACE at UTMKL and Universitas Indonesia, creating a vibrant ecosystem of cross-cultural exchange and collaboration. By uniting young minds from diverse backgrounds and disciplines, the programme seeks to empower participants to become catalysts for positive change in their communities and beyond. As the inaugural AYLA programme kicks off, participants embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery, collaboration, and empowerment. In a journey marked by exploration and discovery, participants of the Asian Youth Leadership Award (AYLA) programme embark on a captivating excursion to Kampung Perca, a vibrant community nestled in the heart of Indonesia. Here lies a centuries-old tradition of utilising small remnants of the textile industry, known as "perca" in Indonesian, to create a diverse array of items ranging from handicrafts to household essentials.
Guided by skilled craftsmen and women, students have the opportunity to witness firsthand the meticulous techniques and intricate patterns that define the art of perca weaving. But the experience goes beyond mere observation – participants are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and actively engage in the creative process themselves. Armed with needles, thread, and an abundance of colourful perca materials, students set to work sewing their own keychains, each one a testament to their newfound appreciation for craftsmanship and sustainability.

Founded on a commitment to promoting health and wellness through probiotic products, Yakult has become a household name, beloved by millions for its iconic fermented milk drink.
From the meticulous fermentation and bottling procedures to the rigorous quality control measures, students gained a newfound appreciation for the dedication and precision required to maintain Yakult's high standards of quality and consistency.
