CEO of MBBC, Mr. Malik Hasandič during Eid Adha in Malaysia 2020
The Malay Bosniacs Business Council (MBBC) was established as a council under KLICC out of the necessity to extend and strengthen the bond between the two countries, Malaysia and Bosnia Herzegovina. It is well known that these two countries have a long-standing institutional and people-to-people ties bound, close and supportive educational, economical, trade and industrial relations between each other.
As a business council, MBBC facilitates networking, business matching and information exchange between business communities of both countries thus act as an essential connection between Malay entrepreneurs and companies looking to enter the Bosnian market or vice versa.
MBBC's mission is to educate the members and link them together with government organizations, distributors or consulting service providers in Bosnia Herzegovina where they will be able to carry on their businesses with essential knowledge for international business and trade.
MBBC opens its "MBBC Exporter" membership to KLICC students under selected study programmes of the IMPACT Blueprint who are interested to learn the basis of export-oriented business. Membership is only approved after a stringent process to determine whether the prospect is export-ready or at least is potentially export-ready. To do so, MBBC officers from Bosnia Herzegovina will visit the production or marketing premise and evaluate the potential. Membership of MBBC Exporter is free of charge at this moment as the costs of evaluation and consultancy are borne by KLICC.
MBBC will also be operating the KLICC Learning Centre in Bosnia Herzegovina by the third quarter of 2021 to serve the Balkan regional postgraduate market from Sarajevo. The learning centre will focus on marketing the study programmes specially designed to upgrade the academic level of corporate and government executives in Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, North Macedonia and Montenegro.
The Learning Centre will bridge KLICC and its affiliates in the region such as the International University of Sarajevo and Osman ef-Redzović College in Visoko. These relationships, when flourished will also pave the way for trade, cultural and ummah cooperation between Malaysia and Bosnia Herzegovina which includes, among others the Qurban Bosnia Herzegovina programme.
Qurban Bosnia Herzegovina is a special project to help the poor, war-torn families, orphans and refugees returned to Bosnia Herzegovina after the war. The program will be conducted with one of the most famous humanitarian organizations in Bosnia Herzegovina with impeccable support system, reputation and assurance to ensure that the Qurban will be distributed fairly and efficiently to the target groups. Malaysian who contributes to the Qurban will have the opportunity to observe the ritual and participate in specially prepared Aidil Adha friendship tours that follow.
The future is insha Allah looking good for MBBC as the first initiative to spearhead international trade of KLICC. Its success will later be the basis of the development of international trade programme in other strategic regions in Western Europe, East Asia, Middle East and North Africa.
