About Us

GOMARR ACADEMY is a business & networking platform for all, especially those active in the food business industry to venture into food business, work professionally in hotels or cafes, restaurants or start their business from home.

GOMARR ACADEMY was established after the company's founder Rosemah Ibrahim offered to promote heritage cuisine through culinary classes. The program with the concept of Art, Science and Entrepreneurship is a culinary class that focuses on Malaysian Heritage and Plant-Based cuisine. The programme focuses not only on improving cooking skills, but to also upskill the participant to a higher level of knowledge and also to bring closer and even reveal how to become a food entrepreneur especially in Malaysian Heritage and Plant-Based cuisine.

GOMARR ACADEMY has been a member of the Kuala Lumpur International Education Consortium (KLIEC) and since then has been a driving force in Malaysian heritage cuisine. GOMARR ACADEMY is also registered with HRDF as an Accredited Training Provider and we provides Certification in two programmes - Professional Diploma/Certificate in Malaysian Heritage – Level 4 and Professional Diploma/Certificate in Plant Based Cuisine, awarded by London Examination Board, UK, and Micro Credential Certification from UTMSpace Services Sdn Bhd.

Rosemah Ibrahim or known as Rosemah MASTERCHEF – participated in two MASTERCHEF MALAYSIA programme for 2 seasons.
Extensive experience in various types of cuisine and expert in heritage cuisine. Often hold their own cooking classes. Rosemah is also a Accredited Trainer by HRDCorp.

Multiple appearances on Malaysian TV and radio programs such as TV1, TV2, TV3, Nasi Lemak Kopi 0, Borak Kopitiam, TV Hijrah, TV Kini. Also invited to cook with a German national Chef for German TV to make a demo on Heritage Cuisine. Been invited to demo heritage cooking with MediaCorp Singapore.

Appeared with recipes in Malaysian magazines and newspapers such as Rasa Magazine, Wanita, Harmoni, Ibu & Anak, Islam Magazine and many more.

Entry Requirements

Candidates must have any Level 3 certification in any relevant field recognised by the International Education and Microcredential Exchange (IEMX); or
Candidates without an academic qualification must be at least 21 years old to enrol.

Blended Mode

The program includes a total of 60 credit hours divided into 36 credit hours of Classes, 12 credit hours Final Project Workshop and 12 credit hours Viva Examination.

Research Mode

The program includes a total of 60 credit hours divided into 36 credit hours of Research, 12 credit hours Final Project Workshop and 12 credit hours Viva Examination.
Additional Requirement: Candidate must have 5 years relevant work or business experience in related fields.

APL Mode

The program includes a total of 60 credit hours where 36 credit hours is waived. The candidate still need to gain 12 credit hours Final Project Workshop and 12 credit hours Viva Examination.
Additional Requirement: Candidate must have 10 years relevant work or business experience in related fields.
